  2. Objectives • To evaluate the Romanian online fiction websites • To analyze the expansion of the Romanian literary online community • To provide insights into the ways of constructing amateur fiction online

Assumption • Amateur writers are willing to engage via different literary websites or to become members of an online community as long as a series of “terms and conditions” are met that would make this engagement meaningful to them. • These include the existence of visible benefits such as: publication, distribution, feedback, new contacts or being recognized in the community.

Fiction – Non Fiction • Fiction is a social convention, deals with imagined stories and characters • Non-fiction - is the opposite of fiction dealing with real people, events and places • Two types of amateur fiction online: “original” fiction and “fan” fiction. Fan fiction explores the existing, loved and famous stories or characters.
