MILTON GLASER FAMOUS WORK: His most famous work would be his logo for New York, I (heart) NY. This is printed on posters, flags, t-shirts, tourist items and as pictures in photo frames. This was a very famous art work by Milton Glaser. This logo later on appeared in Television shows and movies. Variations of this logo were created. Eg. I (heart) NY MORE THAN EVER, I (heart) PARIS. “I did the bloody thing in 1975 and I thought it would last a couple of months as a promotion and disappear.” Milton Glaser
MILTON GLASER WHY HE INSPIRES ME: As soon as I saw the work done by Milton Glaser I knew that I liked it. I enjoy looking through his work because of the colors and the way he presents Most of the work with strong lines and images. I am also inspired by the way he puts Messages of meaning into his work, like the messages about the 911 and how he Visually put his heart out in the public to show that he cared. I am inspired by this Because it demonstrates that he has a story behind him and that he is not all art, that Puts his heart and soul into his images and then puts them out to the world. I also like the message about poverty in his image of the African hand with the light Shining on the fingers of different culture that proves that he wants to make a differece In poverty, not just sit back and watch. This is why I believe Milton Glaser is an inspiring Artist.
