Involuntary Separation Process Action Map – IAW AR 600-5, paragraph 6 MACOM AO returns packet to unit with go/no go decision (begin formal process) Unit initiates request to invol/sep a Soldier and submits to MACOM AO for review (informal) MACOM AO consults with HRO and JAG to validate just cause for invol/sep (informal) Unit counsels Soldier on intent to invol/sep – Soldier has 15 days to submit rebuttal Soldier may request voluntary separation in lieu of involuntary separation from the AGR program completed invol/sep packet (see enclosure #3 – checklist) needs to be endorsed by CoC (use enclosure #4 – coordination cover sheet MACOM AO submits packet to HRO HRO will validate packet with JAG and coordinated with the COS and CG for review HRO submits packet to TAG Unit coordinates w/ HRO for Soldier out-processing TAG returns packet to HRO with decision HRO notifies Soldier’s CoC on TAG’s decision
