Requirement • Make the Pretests a requirement • Requirement for funding • Requirement for participation in something • Requirement for program completion/graduation • Requirement for interview by a certain employer • Make the lessons a requirement when Occupational Profile levels are not met in pretests • Show KT lesson relationship/application to career field

Verbiage • Present KeyTrain/Career Ready 101 as a tool that has been purchased in order to help them achieve their career goals • Pretests are a tool that instructors use to determine the student’s current skill levels in order to provide training opportunities to meet the student’s needs • Skills levels recommended for success in a particular career field

Competitive Spirit • Use students’ competitive spirit • “Advertise” the high score on the pretests from last year’s class • “Advertise” the number of Gold CRCs from last year’s class • Start a competition between your T&I programs to have the highest number of CRCs or the most Gold CRCs • Always emphasize that KeyTrain is the vehicle to move students to higher levels on the CRC
