What’s GEP about? • GEP is a British Council product • GEP contains multimedia features such as audio and video, and offers lots of opportunities for teachers to interact. • GEP offers free, quality-assured classroom materials for teacher’s incl. lesson plans, worksheets, teaching tips and ideas and articles to help them with their professional development. • There is also information on teacher development courses, qualifications and professional conferences available from the UK and from the British Council. Many of those courses can be delivered face-to-face or online.

TRAIN • hosts free training resources for teachers and teacher trainers. These include videos and self-access online courses on topics such as teaching grammar, using learning technologies and understanding learner styles.

Who is Teaching English for? • The site is mainly for English language teachers, but the ‘Transform’ area is of interest to teachers, professional associations and policy-makers alike.
