  17. MAINTENANCE • Will at all times maintain enough radio communications equipment to support requests for deployment to the field • Maintain all NIRSC equipment to NIRSC specifications • Thoroughly test and voice test all equipment after each issue

  18. AVIONICS • Maintains aviation communications for interagency partners • Creates national standards for avionics • Inspects aircraft for safety and contract conformity

National Infrared Operations • Provide accurate high-quality infrared imagery to an incident in a timely manner • two aircraft: Citation Bravo and Super King Air B200 • Availability to downlink from aircraft to incident using 900-928Mhz Band. • Downlink kits may be used by IRIN as GIS work station

COMMUNINCATIONS OPERATIONS • Maintain the capability to respond with qualified personnel to any type of incident regardless of the agency involved • Coordinate and remain active with other response agencies such as Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), United States Coast Guard (USCG), Urban Search and Rescue (USAR), etc.

  21. ENGINEERING/DEVELOPMENT • Provide the best possible communications systems and remote sensing design and equipment available for support of interagency incident communications
