ALP has JOBS!!! • We have 1 Student who has a job at the after school program • We have 1 student who has a job with the S.T.A.R.S. program • YES Program: 7 students
Banking/Auction System • Teaches Life Skills • Builds Respect • Check Books used in Auctions • “Funny Money”
Even with the few resources that we have, our kids still manage to rise up and succeed academically and behaviorally well
Connections To The Community • We have 3 boxers who box through Anasta Box Club • Youth Department - volunteers, conferences, activities, camping • S.T.A.R.S. program – W.A.D., conferences, school session
Grades!!!!! • REGENTS 2008: Global10- 60%, Math A- 67%, Living Environment- 73% • First Quarter: The following was accomplished by the students: 68% Passed all subjects, 3 Students made High Honor Roll, 5 Students made Honor Roll, 10 students made Merit Roll, 12 Students Received Honorable Mention, 77% are academically eligible for athletics • Last Year’s Achievements: 5 out of 6 8th grade students passed, 2 out of 3 7th grade students passed, 12 high school students moved on to the next grade
Goals for ALP by 2009 • Henry Hudson 400th Anniversary • Peer Tutoring • Continue improving upon our strong relationship with the Hudson Youth Department • Build a stronger family atmosphere through team building activities • Continued improvement of state test scores • To be viewed as an important institution within HCSD through continued successful student academic achievement • To have a more school like atmosphere and more respect from students to their teachers
