  2. Francisco Vazquez de Coronado • Coronado was born in 1510 in Spain. • He married a woman named Dand Beatriz. • Coronado died when he was 44 in 1554.

  3. Exploration • Francisco Coronado explored in many different places. • For example he went to Mexico, California, Arizona, Texas, Colorado, Spain. • Coronado wanted to take all of the silver and gold from Arizona. • In 1540 Coronado and his crew went out to go find the golden cities.

Timeline • In 1510 Francisco Vazquez de Coronado was born to a great, loving family. • In 1540 Coronado and his crew set out to find the golden cities. • In 1541 Coronado’s crew became the first Europeans to ever see the Grand Canyon. • In 1540-1542 he traveled throughout New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, and Kansas.
