  2. Francisco Vasquez de Coronado’s Personal Background According to the Social Studies Alive book, it says that Francisco Vasquez de Coronado gained wealth from the land of Mexico and South America.

  3. Sponsor Coronado came to the American’s glory and wealth. He was a great nobleman, but, his sibling had inherited most of the family fortune.

  4. Motives Francisco went to the New World in the first place is because he wanted some gold for his family.

  5. Dates • In 1540, (present-day New Mexico) a priest had told him about the Seven Cities of Gold in Cibola. • In 1542, Francisco returned to New Spain with his crew and his ship. • In 1542 (another day) he died of disgrace of lies.

  6. Route Francisco Vasquez de Coronado went to the New World, New Spain, Spain, New Mexico, The Grand Canyon, The Rio Grande, and the Cibola.

  7. Conclusion Francisco Vasquez de Coronado died in 1542 in New Spain and in disgrace to fall to his death.

  8. Impact • He killed the slaves and mistreated his men or Solders. He also conquered lands with his flag for bases for his army.
