  2. Selecting Tanks and Tests 1 : Click button to select a TANK 2 : Click button to select a TEST 3 : Check for overdue tests

  3. Finding Overdue Tests 1 : Click Show Schedule button Calendars and pink background will show for each overdue tank. 2 : Click button to select a TANK 3 : Calendar icon indicates that a TEST is due (or overdue)

  4. Show Methods Mode In this mode, you can refer to the method while entering data Data Entry Area Enter amount of titrant into boxes A and/or B Enter optional notes Analysis Method Step-by-step instructions Calculation equations Tank Makeup Safety warnings Step-by-step instructions

  5. Show History Mode In this mode, your entry data will immediately show in charts. Control Chart (time domain) Spec and control limits Vertical line is single day Vertical bar extends thru range of test results Distribution Chart Spec and control limits Shows same test results as Control Chart sorted into value ranges with bars showing relative counts. Test Log Shows date/time/chemist for each test and addition indicates maintenance Test Log scrollbar will scroll Test Log, Control Chart and Distribution Chart in time.

  6. Entering Analysis Results : Calculations • ChemTrak will calculate concentrations and additions.

  7. Entering Analysis Results : Titrant Amounts • ChemTrak will calculate concentrations and additions. • Enter the amount of titrant (mL) into the B text box.

Entering Analysis Results : Additions • ChemTrak will calculate concentrations and additions. • Enter the amount of titrant (mL) into the B text box. • Concentration will calculate and show under the Test: • Required addition will calculate and show under Add1: • If the addition is RED, the concentration is below the LCL. • ADDITION IS MANDATORY • If the addition is GRAY, the concentration is below the OPT but not below the LCL • ADDITION IS OPTIONAL • If you do not want the addition, you must delete the text in Add1 box

  9. Entering Analysis Results : Saving Data • Click the Save Results button to save the data • The post-add concentration and the pre-add concentration will immediately show in the control and distribution charts.

  10. Editing the Test Log : Selecting a Record 1 : Scroll the Test Log until the incorrect log entry is visible. 2 : Click the selection button next to the incorrect entry. The entry area will update with data from the selected record. Update Log button will be visible. NOTE: the Test Log entry will show the initials of the last person to make a change.

  11. Editing the Test Log : Saving New Data 3 : Make changes in the white boxes. 4 : Click the Update Log button

NOTES: 1After updating, the Save Results button will show. If Save Results is clicked, it will save a NEW record. You must select a record in the Log to continue editing old records. 2When you change the Date or Time in a record it will sort into a new location in the log, so it may move completely out of your view.

  13. Maintenance Entries : The Task List 1 : Click the Maintenance TEST selection to open maintenance task list. NOTE: Edit the Task.txt file to customize this list. 2 : Check the box next to each of the tasks that have been done. In the example, the tank has been cleaned and made up. 3: You may also enter the temperature and a note for the Log.

  14. Maintenance Entries : The Task List 4: Click Save Results 5 : The record will save in the Log NOTE: Maintenance records are identified by the wrench icon.

  15. Maintenance Entries : Appear in Logs Maintenance log entries appear in all Test Logs.

Makeup Entries : Tracking Chemical Usage After entering the Makeup in the Maintenance Log … 1 : Select each TEST 2 : Select Makeup record 3 : Enter 0 into calculator to calculate required addition amount. * * You may directly enter the addition amount into the Add1 text box if the method does not calculate it for you.

  18. Makeup Entries : Tracking ENi Metal Turns Metal turn calculation requires Makeup records to be entered. To calculate metal turns, ChemTrak sums all of the nickel-bearing additions … … back to the most recent Makeup record in the Log.

  19. Makeup Entries : Starting Amp-Time Logs After entering the Makeup in the Maintenance Log … 1 : Select AmpHrs TEST 2 : Enter amp-time total into New AHrs box. (Enter 0 into OldAHrs box so AmpHrs fills in.) 3 : Click Save Data button NOTE: the AmpHrs log records the meter reading at each calculation.

  20. Makeup Entries : Starting Amp-Time Logs After entering AmpHrs … 1 : Select Au TEST (this is (the amp-time test). 2 : Select Makeup record (will clear entry boxes)

  21. Makeup Entries : Starting Amp-Time Logs 3 : Enter post-make up values for Au and any make up additions. 4 : Click Save Results

  22. Entering Amp-Time Results 1 : Select AmpHrs TEST 2 : Enter New AHrs from totalizing meter. 3 : Enter Old AHrs from log

  23. Entering Amp-Time Results 1 : Select AmpHrs TEST 2 : Enter New AHrs from totalizing meter. 3 : Enter Old AHrs from log 4 : Click Save Results

  24. Entering Amp-Time Results 1 : Select Au TEST AHr boxes will update from AmpHrs log. Au concentration and required addition will be calculated. 2 : Click Save Results Gold concentration must be checked by AA or other analysis after a few metal turns. Select most recent log record and update concentration per AA and enter a note.
