  1. LifeChange Becoming Who You Were Designed to Be Salvation

  2. Theme Passage 2 Peter 1 3 as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life & godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory & virtue,

  3. Theme Passage 2 Peter 1 4 by which have been given to us exceedingly great & precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

  4. LifeChange- To experience personal transformation through living out Biblical principles. For the purpose of living a life up to the potential that God has designed for His followers & desires us to fulfill.

  5. LifeChange Process Salvation+ Purpose + Training + Community = LifeChange

  6. 1) LifeChange Requires Salvation by Being Born-Again- John 3:3-5 3 Jesus answered & said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”

  7. 1) LifeChange Requires Salvation by Being Born-Again- John 3:3-5 4 Nicodemus said to Him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb & be born?”

  8. 1) LifeChange Requires Salvation by Being Born-Again- John 3:3-5 5 Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water & the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh & that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

  9. The born-again experience is taking someone excluded from God’s family because of sin & bringing them into the family through Jesus Christ. God becomes our Father, Jesus our Savior, the Holy Spirit our Counselor & every other born again believer our brother & sister.

  10. John 1 11 He came to His own, &His own did not receive Him. 12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: 13 who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

  11. The proper question to ask is not, “Have you accepted Jesus & joined the church?” but, “Have you been born again by the Sprit of God & what is the evidence that Christ is now Lord of your life?”. Henry Blackaby, Experiencing God Together, p. 244

  12. It does not matter that your name is on a church membership role; it only matters that you have been transformed by the power of God & are living under the rule of Christ. And when that transaction has taken place, there is evidence of a new life. Henry Blackaby, Experiencing God Together, p. 244

  13. 1) LifeChange Requires Salvation by Being Born-Again- John 3:3-5 To experience LifeChange I need to know if I am born-again or just a church goer?

  14. 2) LifeChange Begins With Receiving New Life- II Cor 5:17-21 17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new….

  15. 2) LifeChange Begins With Receiving New Life- II Cor 5:17-21 21 For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

  16. Salvation is the beginning of our journey toward LifeChange. God has changed our nature and the Holy Spirit inhabits our lives with His new life, but conversion is a long way from completion

  17. John 5 24 “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word & believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, & shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life.

  18. Eternal life is lived in the now & the not yet. It is now in that we possess it through Christ & can experience an ever-increasing amount of His life...but not yet to the fullest that we can experience or will experience it in heaven.

  19. Gal 5 16 So I advise you to live according to your new life in the Holy Spirit. Then you won't be doing what your sinful nature craves. NLT

  20. Gal 5 17 The old sinful nature loves to do evil, which is just opposite from what the Holy Spirit wants. …NLT

  21. Gal 5 17 …And the Spirit gives us desires that are opposite from what the sinful nature desires. These two forces are constantly fighting each other, & your choices are never free from this conflict. NLT

  22. Col 3 1 Since you have been raised to new life with Christ, set your sights on the realities of heaven, where Christ sits at God's right hand in the place of honor &power. NLT

  23. Col 3 2 Let heaven fill your thoughts. Do not think only about things down here on earth. NLT

  24. 2) LifeChange Begins With Receiving New Life- II Cor 5:17-21 New life leads to LifeChange- am I pursuing my new life or old life?
