  2. Theme Passage 2 Peter 1 3 as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life & godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory & virtue,

  3. LifeChange- To experience personal transformation through living out Biblical principles. For the purpose of living a life up to the potential that God has designed for His followers & desires us to fulfill.

  4. LifeChange Process Salvation + Purpose+ Training + Community = LifeChange

  5. 1) Purpose Leads Us Into LifeChange- Luke 5:9-11 9 For he & all who were with him were astonished at the catch of fish which they had taken;

  6. 1) Purpose Leads Us Into LifeChange- Luke 5:9-11 10 & so also were James & John, the sons of Zebedee, who were partners with Simon. And Jesus said to Simon, “Do not be afraid. From now on you will catch men.”

  7. 1) Purpose Leads Us Into LifeChange- Luke 5:9-11 11 So when they had brought their boats to land, they forsook all & followed Him.

  8. The disciples saw a greater purpose for their lives than their boats & their nets. While their things may have gained them a living, Jesus gave them a life-long purpose & passion for life that gave them greater significance.

  9. II Tim 1 8 Therefore do not be ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me His prisoner, but share with me in the sufferings for the gospel according to the power of God,

  10. II Tim 1 9 who has saved us & called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose & grace which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began,

  11. 1) Purpose Leads Us Into LifeChange- Luke 5:9-11 Am I filled with God’s LifeChanging purpose or do I feel as if I am wandering through life? Do I sense God leading me into and through LifeChange?

  12. 2) Purpose Focuses Us On LifeChange- Phil 3:13 13 No, dear brothers & sisters, I am still not all I should be, but I am focusing all my energies on this one thing: Forgetting the past & looking forward to what lies ahead,

  13. LifeChange occurs when we first know who we are (both the good & the bad) & know who we are supposed to become. Denial of our present condition or a lack of direction will make true LifeChange difficult.

  15. Matt 6 33 But seek first his kingdom & his righteousness, & all these things will be given to you as well.

  16. 2) Purpose Focuses Us On LifeChange- Phil 3:13 Where is the focus in my life- on LifeChange to become like Christ or on earthly worries and concerns?

  17. 3) Purpose Commits Us To LifeChange- Phil 2:12-13 12 Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear & trembling;

  18. 3) Purpose Commits Us To LifeChange- Phil 2:12-13 13 for it is God who works in you both to will & to do for His good pleasure.

  19. When we have purpose, then we have a decision to make- to commit to it or deny it. For LifeChange to occur we have to take control of & own our growth.

  23. God is committed to your LifeChange… Phil 1 6 being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ;

  24. 3) Purpose Commits Us To LifeChange- Phil 2:12-13 Am I committed to Godly LifeChange or do I resent being challenged?
