Professional Women’s Collaborative - Pasadena The Collaborative was created to provide women and men with the opportunity to: • Build multi-national networks • Develop leadership and technical skills • Enhance their careers at Jacobs • Creating a culture where all employees have the opportunity to reach their full potential in the pursuit of corporate objectives

  4. Why Women, Why Now • Correlation between the representation of women in leadership and corporate performance • Top 25% of companies with the most number of women in leadership positions averaged: • Over 35% higher ROE • 34% higher TRS

  5. Why Women, Why Now • Women face the following challenges: • Exclusion from informal networks • Lack of bottom-line business experience and/or knowledge • Lack of mentoring • Work-life issues and career interruptions

Goals • Create an inclusive environment where talented employees may succeed • Create opportunities for professional multi-national networking and resource sharing • Strengthen interpersonal leadership, management and technical skills • Address unique challenges women may face in industry • Broaden access to talent • Strengthen networks among Jacobs women and women in leadership with clients and suppliers

  7. JTDI History • Women’s Professional Conference in Pasadena last 3 years • Susan Bilhorn hosted dinner July 2008 in FWB • 20 attendees • Surveyed participants • Core ASG/TEAS group began meeting in Fall 2008 to develop plans

  8. JTDI Mission • Dedicated to the empowerment and success of women in Jacobs. We equip women in becoming successful business leaders by providing the resources and tools necessary to promote professional success; providing a collaborative environment through which to enhance networking skills and address issues unique to women in our workplaces; and providing an outlet through which to promote these issues to senior-level management.

JTDI Organization Cont • JTDI Corporate Sponsors, Chairs • Advise on long-range strategic goals for JTDI • Identify issues salient to JTDI members • Act as resource to those seeking information on working women’s issues • JTDI Chairs • Provide day to day management of JTDI • Organize all JTDI business activities including general business meetings • Implement the program and strategies of JTDI • Establish annual dues or budget • Chair the JTDI standing committees
