Challenges Data providers (in particular businesses) STATISTICS lower cost and less administrative burden, simplification or ‘no’ statistics detailed and quality data; timeliness is essential • new data collection techniques, • new data sources, • integration of data sets • etc. decreasing human and financial resources Statistical services Data users businesses,national and international GOs and NGOs, research, natural persons etc.

Development – Main features • based on the experiences of KSH-XML system • developing a modern web-based electronic data collection system, that simplifies data sending, exceeds the limitations of XML and shortens processing period until dissemination • updated ASP • nicer and ergonomic outlook, user-friendliness • on-line application • more integrated functions • schedule and calendar • data (form) export-import • simple access to other statistical collection tools (Intrastat ) • accessibility via government portal (natural persons) • renewed activity management unit • questionnaire designer operating on graphical basis • possibility to extend further

Switch from KSH-XML to KSH-ELEKTRA • by end of September 2012, KSH-XML has stopped • data (questionnaires) were migrated into the new system • 32 questionnaires having deadlines still in 2012 in new format • 48 questionnaires having closed processing in pdf format • automatic registration of KSH-XML users in KSH-ELEKTRA • operative test has started on 2 October 2012 • 1 January 2013 – wide spread use of
