  6. Practice! Directions: Carefully read each sentence. Identify the verbs in that appear in each sentence by writing the verbs in the “VERBS” column.

  7. Question: Why is the CORRECT version better than the INCORRECT version? Be sure you point out the mistakes (recognize) and explain why the CORRECT version is better (fix). CIRCLE the red words on your paper.
