  16. What to expect on the Brigades

  17. Travel • The down payment is due on 12-3-13. During that week, the down payments will be used to book flights with our GB advisor. • Depending on the costs, we may fly out of the Indianapolis or Chicago airports. • If we have to fly out of Chicago, we will try our best to arrange some form of bus transportation for everyone to get to Chicago. • The leaders going on each trip will be in charge, and we travel as a group the entire time. ARCHITECTURE.BUSINESS.ENVIRONMENTAL.HUMAN RIGHTS.MEDICAL.MICROFINANCE.PUBLIC HEALTH.WATER WWW.IUGMB.ORG

  18. Living Conditions The exact compounds where we will stay will not be known until 2-3 weeks before each trip. The most important mindset for brigaders is: BE FLEXIBLE! You will be roughing it depending on how many other university GB groups are there at the same time. Pretend you’re going camping while making a HUGE positive difference. ARCHITECTURE.BUSINESS.ENVIRONMENTAL.HUMAN RIGHTS.MEDICAL.MICROFINANCE.PUBLIC HEALTH.WATER WWW.IUGMB.ORG

  19. Accommodations • Compounds with only GB groups staying there • GB transportation will be used anytime we go to communities or to-and-from the airports. • Security will also always be with us when we’re in the compound, in the community, and during our commute. • Next semester we will specifically talk about the items you’ll need to bring.
