  2. Targets and aims - 1 From the M.P.I.N. Statute • Art. 1 – The duration of the Association is established as being indefinite • Art. 2 – The Association – which is non-profit making – directly or by agreements and conventions with other associations, with both Italian and foreign public institutional bodies, Ministries of the Italian Republic, Regions, Provinces, Municipalities, other local bodies, Italian and foreign universities, Foundations, research units, private bodies and person interested in the Association’s activities, carries out activities in favour of studies and research in the sector of future oriented research and studies

  3. Targets and aims - 2 From the M.P.I.N. Statute Continuation art. 2 of Statute: The Association proposes to operate in close connection with the inspirational philosophies and the intervention methodologies of the Millenium Project of which it is a part. The Association aims in particular to: a) promote and make the best use of studies and research on the future of mankind and the globe, from both a physical (natural resources) and an anthropic point of view (human resources) and their interactions, b) promote, sustain and carry out training activities at all levels, aimed at giving the necessary objective and concrete level of maturity to learners, regarding the main social and environmental problems and their interactions, all of which will have an impact on the community of mankind in the near future c) collaborate with public and/or private bodies for an open and participative debate for the coordination of projected actions to be proposed to politicians, administrators, scholars, academics, public decision-makers, information managers and public opinion ……………………………………….. Agreements and convenctions 16 March 2010 – IRPPS-CNR, Institute of Researches on Population and Social Policies, National Council of Research (to find some common issues of research and to start up joint working groups) 12 May 2010 - Unesco Chair in Population, Migration and Development, located in Rome, Sapienza University of Rome ( to find common issues of research and to schedule seminars, workshops, lectures, conferences on the future and future studies) 4

Performed activities • SOF 2008 translation by Jacques Maritain Insititute • Different seminars, meetings, lectures addressed to university students on diverse topics with special attention to the future (among the long list: “Legal governance of globalisation”, “Ecological aspects of sostenible development”, ”AIDS, malary and the great endemies in the future of the global mankind” , “Food security and right to food”, “Imagining the future of East Africa” “Older but in better condition” “Social illiteracy and meritocracy”, “ The Corporate Social Responsability, from instrument to target”, ……….. • Elements for a pharmaceutical scenario, workshop(21.03.2009) in Chieti (Italy) with Jerry Glenn • A glance to the future: problems,aspects, connections, different approaches, workshop (23.3.2009) in Rome with Jerry Glenn (Future concepts, methods, and overview of the 2008 State of Future) • Decision Making, Futures, and Ethics, workshop (november 2009) in Rome, Sapienza University, Faculty of Statistyics, Faculty of Economics, Faculty of Sociology, and in Pescara, University G.d’Annunzio, with particiopation of Ted Gordon and Eleonora Masini • Lecture of Fabio Capani (Vice-president ) on Diseases and social borders: the pandemia of diabetes in the modern societies, in cooperation with the Unesco Chair, Sapienza University of Rome, 21 May 2010

Participation to conference and meetings with experts and scholars on the future studies
