  2. Biography: • Joan Miró i Ferrà he born in Barcelona 20, April of 1893 • His father was Miguel Miró Adzerias and his mother was Dolores Ferrá.

  3. He began drawing classes at the fine art academy at La Llotja, to the dismay of his father. He studied at the Cercle Artístic de Sant Lluc and he had his first solo show in 1918

  5. history • Miró married Pilar Juncosa in Palma de Mallorca on October 12, 1929 , and settled in Paris in an apartment with enough space to house and studio of the artist, on July 17, 1931 , the couple had their only child, Dolors .Freeing the contract with his dealer Pierre Loeb , Miro decided to return with the family to Barcelona , performing intermittent stays in Mallorca and Montroig .

  6. It was in the latter population outbreak of the Spanish Civil War in 1936 . In November I had planned an exhibition in Paris , and once there , in view of the adverse circumstances caused by war, decided to stay when he got the arrival of his wife and his daughter Pilar . On the eve of World War II in Paris atmosphere was increasingly tense .
