  1. TOF2 in DAQ • Done on Dec 1st to 4th : • Signal Cable Connection to Patch Panel • Re-organize all VME TDCs and fADC for TOF and KL • Final Crate Layout ! • Re-organize NIM Shaper boards for TOF and KL • Install new CAMAC Discriminators and TDC for TOF2 • Sort and Label cables and boards • between patch panel – shapers – fADCs and TDCs • Baseline adjustment of all the Shaper boards • Re-cable everything • Many thanks to Linda Coney, Vassil Verguilov, Mariyan Bogomilov Jean-Sebastien Graulich

  2. Some Issues • In order to avoid the installation of a new NIM crate • Move the discrimination electronics for GVA1 and KL-tag counters to the NIM crate in DAQ Rack 01 • Move the local trigger logic (for calibration events) in NIM Crate 01 (the upper one) in DAQ Rack 02 • Convert some Shaper Boards so that they use the 12 V LV power supply instead of the 6V • That couldn’t be done with the boards from the new batch ! Caused a strong MHz noise • Indication for an error in the voltage regulator circuit • Under investigation by IlkoRusinov in Sofia • The recent boards have been used for TOF2, on 6V Jean-Sebastien Graulich

  3. CAMAC crate • Overload of the CAMAC crate • Triggered by the additional 3 discri boards for TOF2 • However, the current drawn is still much lower than the nominal PS capability • Ageing of the PS ? Fan try problem ? Faulty board ? What else ? • Pierrick and Linda have tried many different combinations • This crate was the only one for which we had no tested spare available Jean-Sebastien Graulich

  4. Channel Mapping • A new channel mapping file has been distributed and is valid from Dec 2nd TDC 03 TOF2 North and Bottom TOF1 Frame TDC 04 KL Tag Counters TOF2 South and Top TOF2 Frame Jean-Sebastien Graulich

  5. Trigger • TOF2 is not (and won’t be) included in the trigger • TOF1 is the standard trigger condition • TOF0 trigger is useful only for studies of particles not reaching TOF1 Jean-Sebastien Graulich
