The purpose of this paper • Present the general condition of urban water supply • Examine the performance records of most of the SWAs • Determine the level of WS services from SWAs • Discuss problems on establishing a sustainable, cost effective and efficient water supply in Nigeria • Raise awareness on the economic value of water and the need to treat water supply as a business • Show responsibility of the government to ensure affordable and sustainable water supply to all Nigerians. • to draw the attention of the policy makers on the gigantic task before this great nation
