  2. Facts!! • Capital: Darwin city. • Population: 211,00 people. • Area: 1,352,176 square km. • Density: 0.2 per square km. • Climate zones: Tropical and Desert. • Highest mountain: Mount Zeil– 1531 metres above sea level. • Northern Territory has the highest population of Aborigines.

  3. Famous Places  • Swimming in Litchfield National Park. • Uluru. • Kakada National Park. • Nitmiluk (Catherine George) • Fishing on the daily river. • Mindil beach sunset market in Darwin!!!!!!

Government!  • Since1968, the territory has had one member with full voting rights in the Australian house of representatives and since 1975 two senators have represented the territory in the upper house. The territory has had self-government since 1978 with a legislative assembly containing 25 members elected by popular Franchise!!!!!!!!
