Why Join NJHS? • Opportunity to meet new friends • Practice leadership skills • Plan and participate in community service activities • Demonstrate your model citizenship and character as a representative of IJS • Encourage yourself and other students to continue reaching academic goals • Access to national and regional NJHS conferences, scholarships , and programs

  3. What are the responsibilities of a chapter member? • Membership is an honor and a responsibility. Students are expected to meet and maintain the highest standards of scholarship, leadership, character, citizenship, and service. • Students will be required to attend general meetings. These meetings could take place during or after school. Students are expected to participate fully in all activities and take a leadership role in designing a quality program. • Students will be required to attend the induction ceremony on a date TBA.

  6. 1st service project • Each member is to submit $10 for dues • The $10 MUST be in the form of two $5 bills • One of these bills will be immediately returned to you • Your project is to use that $5 to do something for someone else. Ideas: buying someone's lunch; school supplies; a stranger's food; groceries; or think of something special that outside of the box • ***No, you cannot just walk up to someone and give them the $5 • After you have completed your service project, please submit to me a summary of your project in writing. It must be at least 5-7 sentences and typed.
