  3. Symptoms • 1-14 days after infected • Muscle pain • Fever • Headache • Lack of apatite • Rash • Nausea

  5. How it Spreads • Infected mosquitoes • Transfusion, transplant, mother to child • Not through touch

  6. Current Research • Emerged in the western hemisphere in the 1999 in New York City • Comes from Africa • No medication to cure • Can be passed during pregnancy

  7. Susceptibility • The elderly can have a neurological disease • Can be genetic
