  2. Introduction • Transmit OOB emission requirement is specified in terms of transmit spectral mask and maximum transmit OOB emission. • At low transmit power, the OOB emission is specified in terms of maximum transmit OOB emission.

  3. Transmit OOB Emission specification for 11a and 11n • IEEE 802.11a specified maximum OOB emission as -53dBm / MHz, 30MHz from the center frequency • Above 0dBm transmit power OOB emission is specified according to spectral mask (-40dBr @ 30 MHz from fc) • Below 0dBm transmit power OOB emission should not exceed -53dBm/MHz • IEEE 802.11n specifies maximum OOB emission as -53dBm/MHz, 30 MHz from center frequency for 20MHz transmission • Above 5dBm transmit power OOB emission is specified according to spectral mask (-45dBr @ 30 MHz from fc) • Below 5 dBm transmit power OOB emission should not exceed -53dBm/MHz • IEEE 802.11n specifies maximum OOB emission as -56dBm/MHz, 60 MHz from center frequency for 40MHz transmission • Above 5dBm transmit power OOB emission is specified according to spectral mask (-45dBr @ 60 MHz from fc) • Below 5 dBm transmit power OOB emission should not exceed -56dBm/MHz

  4. Proposed maximum OOB emission levels for TGac • Propose that the spectral mask requirement for TGac be modeled based on 11a spectral mask requirement • Devices that support TGac could also support 11a and 11n • For 20MHz TGac transmission • Above 0dBm transmit power OOB emission is specified according to spectral mask (-40dBr @ 30 MHz from fc) • Below 0dBm transmit power OOB emission should not exceed -53 dBm/MHz • For 40MHz TGac transmission • Above 0dBm transmit power OOB emission is specified according to spectral mask (-40dBr @ 60 MHz from fc) • Below 0dBm transmit power OOB emission should not exceed -56 dBm/MHz

  5. Proposed maximum OOB emission levels for TGac • For 80MHz TGac transmission • Above 0dBm transmit power, OOB emission is specified according to spectral mask (-40dBr @ 120 MHz from fc) • Below 0dBm transmit power, OOB emission should not exceed -59 dBm/MHz • For 80 + 80 MHz and 160 MHz TGac transmission • Maximum transmit OOB emission for 80+80 should be the same as for 80MHz. • Requirements for 160 MHz same as 80+80 • Above 3dBm transmit power OOB emission is specified according to spectral mask (-40dBr @ 120/240 MHz from fc) • Below 3dBm transmit power OOB emission should not exceed -59 dBm/MHz

  6. Pre-motion #1 • Move to insert the following requirements for maximum transmit OOB emission to the spec framework? Add to Table 6--Transmit spectral mask for various BW PPDUs, “Maximum transmit OOB emission” with the following values • 20 MHz -53 dBm/MHz, if transmit power is below 0dBm • 40 MHz -56 dBm/MHz, if transmit power is below 0dBm • 80 MHz -59 dBm/MHz, if transmit power is below 0dBm • 80+80 and 160 MHz -59dBm/MHz, if transmit power is below 3dBm -Yes -No -Abstain
