  1. Mark Hemstreet – Supporter of the Military Mark Hemstreet, the founder of the Shilo Inn Suites hotel properties, is an avid supporter of the United States Military. In December 2000, the Shilo Inn properties were honored with the first-ever Patriotic Tribute Award in Beverly Hills for their continued sponsorship of America’s Veterans and active Military personnel. Mr. Hemstreet and the Shilo Inn hotel properties, continue to be a proud sponsor of the Honor Flights program, a non-profit organization that has honored hundreds of World War II Veterans by flying them to Washington D.C. so they can visit the World War II Veteran’s Memorial. Mark Hemstreet also received the Freedom Award from the Veterans of Oregon Association for his work in designing and developing the first and only American Veterans and Desert Storm Memorial in Lincoln City, Oregon.
