  2. Calendar • Students will receive their schedule request form this day: • March 3rd: Mt Laurel Elementary • March 4th: Forest Oaks Elementary • March 7th: Chelsea Park Elementary • Forms due to their 5th grade teachers: March 12th:

Core/Required Courses • English 6 or English 6 Adv* or English GRC • Double period every other day • Math 6 • Double period every other day • Science 6 or Science 6 Adv* • Social Studies 6 • PE • GPS-Guided Practice Study • Provides Intervention and Enrichment *May only choose 1 advanced course in 6th grade; if GRC, then advanced course can be science.

  4. Electives • Band OR • Wheel • Art 6 • Computer Essentials 6 • Chorus 6 • Family & Consumer Science 6 CHORUS ART FACS COMPUTER

  5. Schedule Selection (Registration) Forms • Teachers must sign their recommendation • Parents & students must sign the bottom • Registration Form 6th 14-15.doc

  6. Schedule Change Request Forms • Form available from counselors • Must include parent’s signature/any teachers’ signatures • March 13 – May 2 request change for no fee using this form • May 5 – June 6 request change, but subject to administrator approval and $10 fee using this form • No requests honored after June 6 without principal approval *NO REQUEST CHANGES HONORED VIA PHONE/EMAIL*

  8. The Other Middle School Years • 7th Grade • Semester & year-long electives • Able to take multiple advanced courses • Pre-algebra is offered • Algebra readiness test is required • 8th Grade • Year-long electives • Algebra is offered for HS credit

  9. Schedule-Related Questions Please write your non-schedule-related questions and/or concerns on a piece of paper and deposit it in the appropriate container. Those issues will be discussed during the Sixth Grade Orientation and the Parent Meeting.
