Reasons for phasing • Tender of MÁV Zrt. without result • Governmental decision on changing Beneficiary at the end of 2010 • Postpone of project start because of delay in high level decisions • Start of preparation contract in spring 2012 • Projected start of GSM-R implementation at the begining of 2013

  3. Phases of project implementation • Project content has not been changed (GSM-R network along railway lines – 3064 km) • Phase 1 in period 2007-2013: 935 km • Fulfilling obligations deriving from Commission decisions • Fulfilling obligations deriving from EU regulation (ETCS development on lines where track development is implemented) • Phase 2 in period 2014-2020: 2129 km

  5. Economic and financial analysis was prepared for the whole project (202,4 m€) Project applies for aid of Phase 1: 77,7 m€ Project application
