  6. I don't search for bland kind of beauty, but for strength and emotion... I don't focus on anatomy because there is poetry in imperfection. Knowing when to stop in order to avoid spoiling the sculpture demands vigilance. The grain of chamotte clay helps me to maintain a course finish. I would evern like to enhance this "incomplete" look further. The essence of life is not found on the body's surface but deep inside. It would be futile to smooth and refine the life out of my work. The absence of a detailed physique makes the spirit more visible. Jurga

  35. JURGA is a young woman born in 1977 in Lithuania. But it was in France, under the name JurgaSculpteur, that she quickly got noticed on social networks. His sculptures arouse the enthusiasm of all generations of art lovers. JURGA's workshop is located in Burgundy but she divides her time between modelling clay in her workshop and the Barthelemy Art art foundry which is located in Drôme. JURGA has commissioned monumental sculptures for several cities: Saint-Valery-sur-Somme, Le Havre, Rouen. These large sculptures often represent young women or girls, but sometimes they are sculptures of young boys. The dream and the inner life that emanate from his bronze sculptures transport us into a world of feelings that JURGA, through his art, brings before our eyes. Jurga Sculptor bronzes have been acquired by art and sculpture enthusiasts from all over the world. The sculptor JURGA creates an inspired work. Even children recognize themselves and adopt his bronzes as familiar beings. Very popular, JURGA's sculptures have entered many homes where sometimes several bronzes by this artist coexist. When JURGA is asked where her inspiration comes from, she cites Soutine for his paintings of children, Carpeaux for his sculptures of radiant women, Rodin for his bronze sculptures from which emanate universal feelings, in particular the love.
