  3. A typical family Rajesh Arora and Sunita are the proud parents of two lovely girls; Shivani who is 6 years old and Madhu who is 4 years old. Rajesh is working in a multinational and Sunita is a home maker. Rajesh’s net income post tax is Rs. 75,000 per month. His expenses per month are Rs 30,000/. He also supports his parents with Rs 10,000 a month. His net assets total to 50 L including the house they are living in Liabilities Home loan = 25 L Car loan = 3 L

  4. Their goals are To provide a higher education for Shivani and Madhu. Initial expenses at the age of 18 for the two girls will be, Rs3 L , (current cost), and subsequently Rs. 2 l for the next two years, and Rs. 3.5 l  p.a. for the following 2 years. Marriage expenses of Rs. 15 l (current cost) for each child at their respective ages of 21 years. Retirement corpus at the age of 58 years to sustain 70% of pre-retirement household expenses till his lifetime and 50% till Sunita’s expected life. To build a separate fund for vacation expenses of Rs 2 l ( current cost) every year, 10 yrs so that the corpus built is self sustaining till the marriage of Madhu
