  1. 6 Time Management Tips

  2. Quick preview: • Understand Yourself • Check Your Resources • Set the Priority • Draw up a Rough Plan • Pilot-try your Plan • Exercise Your Plan

  3. 1. Understand Yourself The fundamental ground for managing time is to understand yourself: your strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and most importantly, your mandatory/compulsive works. List them down. Know which of these consume more time and which of them do not. 2. Check Your Resources How would you want to spend your free time? Do you have all necessary resources to execute your pending work? What time does it consume in arranging and accessing all necessary information & material for your task?

  4. 3. Set the Priority The crucial step where most of us go wrong; is deciding the priorities. Postpone unnecessary tasks. If you desire for a flexible time execution, perform activities in order of importance. Two things should determine your priority (mostly): (i) Is it Personal/Professional work? (ii) What is the work deadline? If you answer these appropriately, you’d be able to fit things correctly in your schedule.

  5. 4. Draw up a Rough Plan You have the time available to you. You know what tasks should fit where. Block up spaces of tasks you cannot avoid. Draw it up on a sheet of paper, or give yourself inputs mentally. This becomes a base for your further course of action. 5. Pilot-try your Plan No Plan was ever made perfect. Keep reviewing your plan every day. Analyze where you deviated. Did you waste sometime today? Took some extra time than planned? Did something a bit too quickly? Re-draw up your plan.
