  2. Project Goals Provide information and materials to help individuals to: • Understand what resources are available in the community in which you live,work or go to during the day. • Make Personal Disaster Preparation • Identify needed Disaster Supplies • Deciding on “What is in Your GO Bag”

  3. Understand what resource are available in your community: • Make a list of your local Emergency Management Services. • Get to know the agencies/organizations in your community that assist in a disaster. • Network with your family, friends and neighbors Before a Disaster occurs. • Review your communities disaster plan.

  4. Make Personal Disaster Preparation Learn how to complete the following: • Emergency Information List • Medical Information List • Disability-Related Supplies and Special Equipment List • What You Can Do to Prepare for a Disaster

  5. Identify Needed Disaster Supplies Learn which type of Disaster Supplies you need: • Basic Disaster Supplies Kit • Disability-Related Supplies and Special Equipment • Portable Disaster Supplies Kit • Disaster Supplies for Your Car • Service Animal and Pet Supplies • Power-Dependent Equipment • Additional Information on Equipment and Supplies • Storing Supplies

  6. Decide “What is in Your GO Bag” What type of Go Bag works best for you? (Cooler Bag, Comfort Bag, Caregivers Bag, GO Bag/Backpack, etc.) What items are needed in order for you to survive until help arrives?
