Present Day Conditions: • Do we see a movement in the land where the needs of others are less concerning? • Do we see “normally” opposing groups joining together to “attack” Jesus and His followers? • Is there a sense of “SILENCE” in the culture today about what is right?” • There is a sense of “hard heartedness” ; yet no sensitivity to this condition.

  3. Designed Opposition: • THE OPPORTUNITY TO TOUCH A LIFE: (vs.1-6) • A Man with a need: (But not life threatening or a situation of defensive war) (vs.4) • [The restriction on healings on the Sabbath was for physicians, but not God; so if they saw Jesus as God; it was permitted.] They only saw Jesus as a Physician. • Matthew 10:32-33 (NKJV)

  4. Designed Opposition: • THE OPPOSITIONAL ALLIANCE AGAINST JESUS: (vs.6-12) • Pharisees - opposed Jesus in His practice and preaching: • Herodians– opposed Jesus in fear of His authority and claim to be “King”

  5. OPPOSITIONAL ALLIANCE AGAINST JESUS: (vs.6-12) • Simple Ministry: (vs.8-11) • People responded to what HE did for them: (8) • He healed many: (10) • Demon’s declare His Deity: (11)
