Transformative leaders can make people or teams come out of their comfort zones and work hard by inspiring and boosting their energy. In this leadership style, the decisions are taken in the collective opinion of all the team members. The leader is also open to taking inputs from the team for the wide range of options and encourages the team to express their thoughts fearlessly. The style of leadership is more followed and effective as there is a high team involvement and exchange of thoughts for better and productive team performance. Laissez-faire leadership Laissez-faire leadership is like a hands-off approach, where a leader leaves the team to make their own decision, find a solution by themself, and complete the assigned task with their ability to face problems and error-handling skills. Laissez-faire is a French word meaning “let them do”, where they are left free to do the task without the intervention of the leader and assistance, although the team is provided with resources and tools to do the task. This style of leadership is to push the employees who are skilled and have proven themself in the organization. Though there is empowerment of the morals and confidence of the person sometimes it may also end up with the failure in the results. Even after providing the full freeness to do the work, there must also be the process of monitoring on a timely basis to prevent the loss barring at the end. This type of leadership style is not much appreciated and followed in many organizations due to the lack of monitoring and assistance processes.
