Some of the issues can be fixed easily and quickly while others can cause you to pull a few hairs out and requires you to get your hands dirty. Before you attempt to fix your computer make sure you don’t have a warranty because if you do, save yourself a heap of stress and give them a quick call. The first thing you need to do is identify the issues and do some research if possible, some common issues include; - Hardware mistake o Hardware damaged or unplugged o The piece of hardware may be incompatible or outdated - Software incompatibilities - Software updates available - Software updates may have caused the issue Before changing anything in your computer you need to make sure everything is compatible otherwise your computer may not work correctly or it could cause it to not work at all. The experts who provide you with the product should have some useful information on the product. When you have a problem with your computer the first thing you should do is restart your computer and check if it was a booting issue. Next if that doesn’t solve your problem do some RESEARCH into different issues that could have occurred. With millions of people using computers every day you’re not going to be the only person with that issue and some of them may have come up with a quick and easy solution to your problem. Here is a small list of some of the most common computer issues with some quick and easy solutions. Before opening your computer and touching any hardware ensure your computer is switched off and unplugged from the mains power. Again, before doing anything which involves opening your computer check your warranty If you have one and ensure you do void it by opening your system up. A common issue when changing your graphics card or other important components of your computer is that the computer can then simply start fine however your display can often not work. This Is due to the BIOS and other important configurations being incorrect for the new piece of hardware. The solution to this problem is very simple, simply open your computer and reset the CMOS, to do this you need to find the small round coin looking chip.

  2. The image shows the small round coin looking chip which needs to be removed for 30 seconds to reset your CMOS. Simply remove it, wait 30 s econds and place it back in. Make sure you place it in all the way, you should hear a click and it shouldn’t move once positioned. Start up your computer and just like magic your display should be working with no issues. One huge issue which a lot of people attempt to solve is a slow computer. Having access to files and apps that you need when you want them is a must. There are a few things which you can do to solve a slow PC (Skipping the obvious of buying a new PC or upgrading). Firstly, uninstall unwanted and unused programs which clog up your computer, also make sure a minimal number of programs start up when your computer turns on. Secondly delete temporary files, they are temporary for a reason, you may use them once maybe twice then remove them. Run a disk defragment, this will clear and rearrange files to increase performance. Lastly, clear out dust and make sure your machine is clean both the inside and out. The last common issue to be discussed is a problem installing applications, often when installing applications, you will run into a problem and your computer will simply say “No” and won’t accept the application. The first thing you should check and double check is to make sure that it is compatible with your machine, check to make sure you have installed the correct version. A 32-bit download may run on a 64-bit computer however a 64-bit download will not run on a 32-bit machine. If that does not work try run the install file as an administrator, simply right click and click “Run as Administrator” That is just a small amount of common issues which can occur with a PC, for further advice and guides on other common computer issues please do not hesitate to contact us or visit our site and read through some of our tips on our blog.
