Carpal tunnel syndrome is found in 3-6% of the adult population. Some CTS resolves spontaneously, but many require treatment. It is known to be common in many women during pregnancy, childbirth, and menopause, but the cause is unknown, and it is called idiopathic carpal tunnel syndrome.
