  1. The Shiv Nadar Universities Ensure All Students Have The Opportunity To Study Mr. Shiv Nadar, the founder of HCL, a US$12.3 billion industry leader, launched the Shiv Nadar Foundation in 1994. The Foundation is dedicated to bridging the socioeconomic gap by empowering people via transformational education and fostering a more just and merit-based society. In order to do this, the Foundation formed organizations and initiatives in India’s underserved fields of art and

  2. education in both rural and urban areas. The Shiv Nadar Foundation for children focuses on the establishment of organizations that empower subsequent generations for many centuries. Two of these initiatives are as follows: Shiv Nadar Institution of Eminence, Delhi-NCR This is a comprehensive, multidisciplinary, and research-focused institution that opened its doors in 2011. It offers the full spectrum of academic programs at the undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral levels. It is one of the top 20 public and private institutions in India and the country’s youngest accredited Institution of Eminence (IoE). Managing plastic waste, addressing significant health issues, and improving the efficiency of electric cars are some of the topics of research at the university that are of national and international relevance. The university is located close to Delhi-NCR on a 286-acre campus that is completely residential and surrounded by greenery. It has 320 top-notch faculty members with doctoral and post-doctoral expertise from universities reputed globally as well as a thriving community of approximately 6,000 students (including current students and alumni).

After 90 years (since the Annamalai University Act of 1928), it started operating in the 2021 academic year as the first private university to be legislated in Tamil Nadu.
