Information/Refresher Session for New and Returning Volunteers
WELCOME! Community Fund Drive is… a charitable giving workplace campaign Conducted every October 1 - 31 Driven by Lead volunteers (like you!) from each college or unit and grassroots volunteers from within your units, with help from a volunteer committee (that’s us!)
Workplace campaigns are better for the charities: Administrative costs are lower than they would be if charities had to solicit individual donations Payroll deductions provide charities with year-long predictable income making it easier for them to plan services
Workplace campaigns are better for employees: They’re safe! You’re guaranteed that your donation safely reaches any charity you select They’re easy! You can select from an array of organizations that matter most to you
Our campaignco-chairs: • Tim Mulcahy Rusty Barceló • Vice President Vice President • Research Office of Equity • and Diversity
The campaign has the enthusiastic support of President Bruininks
Our goals $1.25 million 40% participation Last year’s participation rate was 28.24% of the University community. WE CAN DO BETTER!!!
To achieve 40% we need just a little push: • We need 1,794 more people to • participate this year. That translates to: • 36 more participants per Lead. • We can meet our goal! • More importantly, we will help many • very worthy causes! • Every single bit counts!
