  1. Endometriosis increases the risk of Heart Disease – Women’s health issue Endometriosis affects about 10% of women. A recent study published in the May edition of Circ Cardiovasc Qual Outcomes has confirmed the link between endometriosis and increased risk of myocardial infarction and angina.

  2. The study revealed that women with endometriosis were more likely to have increased risk of: myocardial infarction angina requirement for coronary artery bypass graft surgery A further cause for concern was that this risk was three-fold higher in women under 40 years of age and the risk was elevated for those who previously had a hysterectomy/oophorectomy.

  3. Thus an approach of ‘prevention is better than cure’ best advised.
