OperationsThis is the biggee • When we say operations we mean; • Coordination (resources and information) • RCC operations (multi-agency coordination center model) • Basic ICS structure • Through RESF structure • Operations Support Section • Manage resource requests from community, IC, or organization
What’s Been Going On • Number of events in Region / State • Haz Mat calls • Barricaded suspect / hostage • Kleen Energy • Severe weather / storm events • Led to numerous AARs, “conversations”, and meetings…..where was CREPC…..
What CREPC Did • Facilitated – 3 discussions – conducted 1 AAR (IMT) • Worked with; UAWG, ESF-8, ESF-5, ESF-2, IMT, ESF-5 Duty Officers
What CREPC Did – cont’d • CREPC conducted 1st “Going Forward” meeting with ESF-Chairs / CREPC Duty Officers/ IMT / DEMHS – 3/12/10 • Each participant had an opportunity to speak about events in general and Kleen Energy incident specifically – “timed” • If at event 1 minute • If not involved 30 seconds

Expectations of CREPC Following identifies what CREPC leadership saw as expectations of CREPC from “the outside” • Municipalities – solve problems for disasters, response and planning; serve as LEPC; fill the county government gap; conduct drills and exercises, equipment funding • Provide a Regional planning “model” • State – Regional resource support / collaboration / sharing • Provide resources others don’t have (CREPC has “internal” expectation “we will be used” – doesn’t always happen • RESP activation means “we” (locals) lose control • Manage grants • Knowledgeable / professional • Collaborative
Other Key Feedback(separate meeting / “end user” input) • Timely info sharing • Info leaders of any three levels of activation • Monitor • Partial • Full • Share information from the scene / event • Centralized info updates • Regional resources – thru RICS & RESP • “We want CREPC to follow the RESP” • CREPC should do situational awareness • Shared expectations – predictability

Course of Action • You have either a chance to “vent” • Some CREPC “not so good” moment • or make a wish • If you could make CREPC anything • If you have something to say about “yesterday” – you have the floor for 30 seconds • If you have something to say about “tomorrow” – you have the floor for 1 minute.
Next Steps • Synthesize all inputs • Work with core CREPC leadership • Produce implementation plan to CREPC – September 2010 • Meet the vision
