  2. The Japanese enjoy many kinds of sports, some that are especially popular are American sports like baseball or even soccer. People also enjoy watching professional matches live and on television. The most traditional are sumo, kendo, and judo

  3. Kendo • Kendo, the art of swordsmanship, is more than 1,000 years old. It's still popular today in the city of Sagamihara, where kids begin learning about the practice of kendo, with all its equipment and traditions, from an early age.

  4. Judo • Judo is a martial art that was born in Japan. A number of techniques are used, particularly limb maneuvers for strikes, throws, holds, joint twists and pinning.

  5. Sumo • Sumo wrestling is Japan's most popular professional spectator sport and is considered by many to be the national sport of Japan. The matches are only a few seconds with 2 large wrestlers trying to grab each others sash to throw them out of the ring
