How Many Apps? Applications may cost between $20-$80+ each • 2 “reach” schools • Academic & Financial • 2 or 3 “appropriate” schools • You will probably get in • You can probably afford • 1 to 2 safety schools • Definitely get accepted and affordable
How to get applications • Phone or visit the Office of Admissions • Colleges Prefer On-Line Applications • The Internet: • Complete and send electronically… Check to see if there is a section to print out and give to your College Counselor/Teacher • Download the application

Counselor • Advocate & student helper • Provide counsel & support in the process • Assist in ID of appropriate range of schools/refine college list • Provide counsel to student & parent • Provide timeline to help limit stress • Provide appropriate documentation to colleges
