DE 46/32 Annex 17. • Will be adopted by MSC 77 (2003.05 - 06). • Apply to those installed after the adoption. Pumping Arrangement • Adopted by MSC 76 (SOLAS XII/Reg.13) • New: Constructed after 2004.07.01 • Ex: By the 1st IS/SS after 2004.07.01 • 0.1 % Ship’s max. Displacement (draft MSC Circular): DE 46/32 Annex 18.
IMO BCS Water Level Detectors • Performance Standard (MSC Resolution) • Cargo hold: Pre-alarm (0.5 m) & Main-alarm (15% depth, max 2 m). • Fore compartment: Alarm (10% (B/tank), 0.1m). • Accuracy: +/-100 mm. • Override and re-setting (auto & manual, IACS)(Cargo/Ballast hold, Ballast tank) • Cargo area circuitry is intrinsically safe. • Conform to IMO “Code on alarms and indicators 1995”. • Capable of being supplied with 2 independent el.-supplies. • Demonstrated by Type test. • Location - aft part of the hold, and • Either as close to the centre line, or • At both port and starboard sides
IMO BCS Permanent Means of Access • Adopted by MSC 76 (SOLAS II-1/Reg. 3-6) • New: Constructed after 2005.01.01 • BC: 20,000 GT and over Cargo holds, Ballast tanks (TST, BHT, DSS) • Tanker: 500 GT and over Cargo oil tanks, Water ballast tanks • Technical Provision (MSC.133(76)) • Interpretation • Discussion by IACS,Shipowners and Shipbuilders(Joint Working Group; NK chair) • Will be finalised by the end of 2003
