  1. How Undergraduate Program in Medical Radiology & Imaging Technology Works Medical imaging refers to the technique and process used to create images of the human body (or certain parts and function thereof) for medical purposes (medical purposes asking for diagnosis or examining disease) or even for medical science (includes the study of normal human anatomy and physiology). Medical Radiological Technologist You can call a Radiological Technologist as medical radiation technologist and as a radiographer, performs imaging or picturing the human body for diagnosis or treating medical ailments. Radiological Technology Modalities Include Diagnostic radiography deals with inspection of internal organs, bones, cavities and foreign objects; contains cardiovascular imaging and interventional radiography. Sonographies makes use of high frequency sound and is implemented in: obstetrics (including fetal monitoring through pregnancy), necology, abdominal, pediatrics, cardiac, vascular and musculo-skeletal region imaging. Fluoroscopy live motion radiography (constant radiation) is usually used to visualize the digestive system; monitor the administration of contrast agents to highlight vessels and organs or to help position devices inside the body.

  2. CT (Computed Tomography) which offers cross-sectional views (slices) of the body structure; can also rebuild additional images from those taken to provide more information in either 2 or 3D. MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) builds a 2-D or 3-D map of diverse tissue types within the body. Nuclear Medicine practices radioactive tracers which can be managed to examine how the body and organs function, for example the kidneys or heart. Radiotherapy usages radiation to shrink, and sometimes wipe out cancerous cells/growths inside and outside the body. Mammography practice low dose x-ray systems to create images of the human mammary glands. Industry Internship Renowned universities give opportunity to the students to interact with eminent personalities from medical lines. The internship programme is aimed at giving experience to the students. A mandatory completion of the programme is necessary at times to get the under graduate degree. Contents Included In The Academic Human Anatomy Human Physiology Radiation Physics Radio Diagnosis Pathology Medical Microbiology Medical Biochemistry Specialised Diagnostic Techniques Radiological Technology Radiotherapy Employability After effective completion of the degree, a student will be skilled of holding assignments in different hospitals and also health care institutions, research laboratories and diagnostic centers. Students with a nature to acquire knowledge can go for higher studies in specialized field of study and can progress as scientists and even can enjoy faculty positions in academic institutions.

  3. Candidates Suitable For The Course oCandidate should have the zeal to get to the core, be self-sufficient, precise, dedicated and self-motivated also are a good fit for it oThe candidates must be fit and sturdy because they might need to work for long hours. These hours might not turn out to be cosy as they may not get to sit. Brainware University Brainware University
