  1. Dr. Douglas Andrews King City About I'm a committed, objective and insightful healthcare partner. I strive to be a trusted guide on your journey for lifelong, whole-body wellness. Please explore my personal webpage but, keep in mind, I practice as part of a team at the King City Natural Health Centre and Medicor Cancer Centres.\ I grew up with asthma. Along with standard treatment, my parents took me to a Naturopathic Doctor. I did better than most. I could participate in team and individual sports. I’d lose 30-40% of my lung capacity but still be able to function normally. So, I never thought “alternative medicine” was all that weird. Thank you, Dr. Williams. Thank you, Dr. Wood. After studying Chemistry and Biology at Queen’s University, I took a working holiday in Australia and New Zealand. People accessed complementary and alternative medicine more regularly than the conservative folks in Ontario. The concept of treating the whole person with natural remedies - remedies which have inherent synergy and fewer side effects- appealed to me greatly. I’m not adversarial to the mainstream medical community. I just think there are things they don’t do. Things that Naturopathic Doctors do that keep people well.
