Blow or sweep away any leaves or debris before applying the resurfacer, then moisten the surface to prevent the concrete from drying up too quickly.

7. Putting It All Together When the concrete starts to harden, use a brush with an extended handle to add texture to the surface. When the concrete is moist, this prevents it from becoming slick.
