  1. How to make natural cough syrup at home in easy steps

  2. Organic cough relief recipe Even the simplest of ingredients can provide you with a lot of comfort during a cold and cough, especially during the winter season. Cold medicines definitely help, but sometimes the cough is so minor that organic cough remedies would be very beneficial to get some instant relief.

  3. What you need: -1.5 cups of organic and natural honey -1.5 cups of extra virgin olive oil -1 to 5 lemons -Clove and cardamom (optional)

  4. Mixing the ingredients and heating them Add the honey and olive oil into a small pot and stir while heating it at a medium flame. To make the cough syrup more effective, squeeze the juice of the lemons in the pot and stir. Keep stirring until all the ingredients have mixed together well and are boiling.

  5. Let it cool down like a cough syrup Remove the pot from the heat and allow it to cool naturally for a bit. You will see the gel becoming thicker slowly. At this point, you can choose to optionally add cloves and a bit of cardamom for some extra touch of spice in the otherwise sweet, slightly tangy syrup

  6. Store the syrup in a jar and use it when required Honey and lemon individually are already one of the most common cough remedies used at home. Combined together with olive oil, the syrup is definitely effective. You can store the syrup in a jar and put it in your refrigerator. Make sure you heat it before using to aid your cough though!
