Colette Prevost administered all the mental health and addiction programs by working as an Executive Director (1999-2001) at Mental Health/Addictions Centre Nipissing General Hospital. During this tenure, she successfully developed the francophone community rural mental health strategy. She also served as an active member of the Hospital Senior Management Team.

By education and training Colette Prevost completed her Bachelor of Social Work degree from Laurentian University and her Master of Social Work degree from Wilfrid Laurier University. She also has a certificate of completion of Rotman School of Business in Leadership.
With her experience She has worked in the field of social services for more than 30 years. She has served as Chief Executive Officer at York Region Children’s Aid, as Executive Director at YWCA Sudbury and as Program Director at Community Counselling Centre of Nipissing. Her experience makes her a leading authority in equity and empowerment.
By her hard work Colette Prevost is known for her hard work, compassion and dedication to the advancements of rights of women, and children. She is a strong supporter of the YWCA Canada. She supports women equality, aboriginal issues, children’s rights, and human rights issues in Canada.
By her skills Her skills include public speaking, fundraising, program management, coalition building, leadership and administration. She supports equity and diversity in the community along with advancing the rights of women and children.
About Colette Prevost Colette Prevost is a social worker by training, who has worked for almost three decades in the field of social services, equity and empowerment. She has worked with numerous non-profit organizations. She has also served as a sessional faculty at Laurentian University, where she teaches from the faculty of social work.
