  1. ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT MANUFACTURERS AND DISTRIBUTORS WORLDWIDE WHY SHOULD CONDENSATE DRAIN PANS BE TREATED? Slime, gunk, and illness bacteria can accumulate in drain pans. This accumulation is caused by: Cooling equipment generates cold air by passing warm air over cooling coils. Condensate (water droplets) form and flow off the equipment coils as a result of this. CONSIDER A GLASS OF ICED TEA ON A HOT SUMMER DAY. Drainage : To prevent condensate drain pans from dripping onto passersby and other objects, moisture from commercial cooling equipment must drain into a pan inside the unit. These pans are linked to drainage systems, which could be a source of concern. EVAPORATIVE & CONDENSATE PANS Bacteria : Slime is a byproduct of bacteria that naturally occurs in water. Slime can clog drain holes and cause the pan to overflow, potentially causing water damage. The Petri-dish Effect : Warm, standing water in pans acts like a Petri dish, fostering the growth of bacteria and potentially dangerous microorganisms. The microbes can then be blown out into the facility by the equipment’s fan, lowering air quality and posing health. ANTI-CONDENSATION PAN www.icraft.us
