Adult English for Speakers of Other Languages PURPOSE: The purpose of this course is to help students communicate in English, and allow them to acquire English language skills in reading, writing, speaking and listening. English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) adult program is a Workforce Development initiative funded by the Florida State Department of Education.  The approved courses are: Literacy for Adult ESOL Learners  (Program # 9900300) Adult English Literacy – Core ESOL (Program # 9900040) English Literacy for Career and Technical Education – ELCATE (Program # 9900050) Academic Skills (Program # 9900051) Citizenship (Program # 9900090)
