Slide 2:PRO-ACT
PRO-ACT, Pennsylvania Recovery Organization - Achieving Community Together, was formed in 1997 by Bucks County Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence to develop a constituency to reduce stigma surrounding addiction and to increase the availability of appropriate services throughout the 5 county Southeastern Pennsylvania region for those still suffering, and their families. In 1998, we were fortunate to be one of the initially funded Recovery Community Support Program (RCSP) grantees. In 2001, we were again funded as part of a state wide initiative to continue our work and to focus on barriers to long-term recovery.
